*Amen Ankh means "sacred life" - providing a Health and Wellness Ministry, working with EMWOT for a Farm-a- See/ Grow Food not Lawn Initiative. 

1.We provide a Home Lawn and Garden Service with a twist. 

2.We not only offer free estimates for your lawn care, We also can prepare a health and wellness assessment, where we will create a healing garden of vegetables and Herbs to help with your particular comfort or ailment. 

3.We also share a Home blessing and spring cleaning service, to align your home environment with the unique Colors, Flowers, and atmosphere for your optimal access to abundance.

4.We cultivate a relationship of mentors and friendships, between Elders and At-Risk Youth, to support our urban neighborhoods. We will also work with court ordered community service.

Adenike "Nuta" AmenRa is a Natchez Native American. She lives her life as a homesteading sovereign, boldly growing the "3 Sisters" of Heirloom Corn, Green Beans, and Squash/Melons, with Herbs, peppers, and Cabbages right in a vacant lot, on an Urban Landscape, of the Midwest- Heart of America- Kansas City, Missouri. The Soil is cultivated using Straw and Strictly Natural Organic Compost of a Vermiculture of worms, spent coffee grounds, leaves, grass cuttings and sometimes even community contributions of barbershop hair, families or restaurant kitchen scraps, lawn care clippings from all over the metro Kansas City urban landscape! 

The Amen Ankh (Sacred Life) Ministries offers is a variety of products, like Green Tomato Cha Chow, peach and Apple Butters, Beverages and baked goods that are a delight to enjoy. You can order a Green protein smoothie with a nip of Lentil or Alfalfa sprouts, Wild Garden Stews, or a nice hot cup of Herbal tea to knock off the morning chill. We make a spring cleaning and strengthening Plantain Green pot, using Fresh Scallions, and Peppers. We also provide services- like Home made soaps and cosmetics, Green Lawncare, Green Cleaning, Tailoring, Repair, Personal Care, Hair Washing and Twisting and workshops and classes. 

Amen Ankh Akademy is a Home School Green STEAM (science technology engineering arts and mathematics) - Substitute Teaching, Meditation and Breathing, African Storytelling - and Afrikan Centered Resources, Crafts, Puzzles, Coloring Books,

Raising Afrikan Children to be Critical Thinkers in a Global Technological World

I have recently read a blog-post from Jamal Ali with dated content information for the year 2007 : http://electronicdrum.wordpress.com/2008/06/06/education-where-we-are-at-right-nowdid-you-know/#comment-10447 - I became profoundly aware of the exponential changes that must have occurred since that information was presented… and the clock is still ticking! As a parent and educator, I was then presented with an awesome task before me! When you combine this article With another posts from Khepera: Why Love Matters- How affection shapes a baby’s brain: http://electronicdrum.wordpress.com/2004/07/17/minding-the-baby/ -knowing that you can shape the future outcome of a child within the first 2 months of their lives is a daunting task and responsibility. This Education content also reminds me of a documentary that I watched called 2 Million Minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niU1E3SSTAM We must produce global thinkers.

I did notice what I think is a critical oversight in the film; "Did You Know." It was disturbing to note the complete absence of the African continent, and the participation of African countries in the statistics that were presented. Many African countries, now free from colonial rule, maintain high a academic discipline of education and the sciences. Timbuktu, was renowned in history as the seat of knowledge and scholarship. Sankore University, Senegal, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology - Kumas, Cheikh Anta Diop University, in Dakar, The University of Ibadan, The list goes on... There are many African scholars who are graduating with doctorates and PhD.'s from prestigious universities in Europe as well as the United States.

I consider my world view perspectives to align with Pan Africanism. The historical presence of Africans are found, and continue to be discovered, everywhere in the diaspora. We traversed the earth as migrants and explorers with benevolent gifts and philosophies- long before the travail of the Maafa. Having this perspective helps me to connect to a global worldview. Understanding that every technological achievement is a tangible manifestation of what each one of us already possess within ourselves.  Our human brains are still very vast and sophisticated organic structures that are still uncharted in the realms of untapped resources and capabilities. We must cultivate and polish our critical thinking skills to not only to amass knowledge and skills for technological applications, but to understand and interact with the inner-verse and our spiritual connections with all living things. We need more of the presence and participation of Afrikan mathematicians, scientists and engineers not only for the cultivation of a "Brave New World,"  but yet, for the stewardship and sustainability of this planet and to the rest of the Universe. I think that as humans in a society, we will ultimately be held accountable for our responsible (or the lack there of) care and use of this planet's natural resources and environment.

The 4 Major Points That We Must Move Our Afrikan Children To:

1. We must teach our students how to deal with massive amounts of information.
2. We must teach our students global communication, starting in Pre-Kindergarten
3. We must teach our students to be self-directed learners and understand how to organize more of their own learning
4. We must teach our African children, to obtain knowledge of the sciences- and then return to their own communities to promote our abundance and prosperity.

Star Crystal Nubian! 11/14/09

We are the first humans and the mother of all civilizations. We studied the stars for hundreds of thousands of centuries and then traveled-migrated throughout this planet, bearing the gifts of our knowledge and established human existence. We did this over and over again for each millennial age! Even if you don’t follow the Yacub philosophy, the caucasian and all other "races" are our children. With this application, we can no longer limit ourselves to the continent of Afrika. We are Nubian- Hue-man people! We charted the stars and calculated, with mathematical precision- time. We made the first recorded calendars, and oceanic water vortex charts! We are aboriginal to the entire earth (if not also the oceans!) We are they and they are we! We are mankind and we should evolve from relegating ourselves to one continent. Afrika may be our birthplace- then, all of mankind came from one mother! We are first present as Olmec, Australian, German, Chinese, Indian…etc. if you look to the origins of every cultural foundation, The melaninated, nappy haired hue-man, was at their beginning!

Until we can see the world, the planet, the universe differently — free of the conditioning of western society — until we can truly embrace the indigenous vision of our ancestors, not only will we not be able to recognize nor truly practice their wisdom systems, we will remain less than truly human, and victims of those less powerful and wise.  If you cannot see it, you cannot imagine it;  if you cannot imagine it, you cannot manifest it…and until you can see/imagine it, even if someone else manifest it, you will not accept it as possible, much less real.  Remember, with the present state of technology, truly separate is not really an option.  The better more comprehensive goal is to develop the inner strength, discernment and critical thinking skills necessary such that one can walk the world, under any circumstances, and remain centered, grounded in the principles and vision which empower and exalt our people.
